Job Description

The Senior D365 Developer is an integral part of the JS Held ERP Team. This highly skilled professional will primarily help solve business problems through applying solutions using X++ and SQL Server coding. This individual will also work closely with Delivery team and Enhance (small new functionalities) & Support team providing technical level 4 guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in applying system solutions to business problems through the design and programming of X++ in D365 F&O and power platform solutions
• Apply quarterly Microsoft updates by merging multiple ISV code packages and releasing via Azure devops pipelines
• Stay informed about emerging technologies related to Dynamics D365 F&O programming languages and environments
• Utilize recommended best practices and a thorough understanding of D365 functionality to create new features and/or address reported issues and bugs
• Apply functional and technical knowledge of Dynamics AX2012 & D365 to develop new functionalities and integrations with other systems as required to support business growth
• Implement hotfixes, kernel updates, or any other necessary Microsoft updates
• Aid in the creation of Technical Specifications Documents and document the enhancements made to D365 F&O
• Manage source control, configuration, and release management via Projects in AX2012

• Develop and customize solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O platform using X++ and related technologies
• Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Support and enhance existing D365 F&O applications as business needs evolve

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 Years hands on experience Dynamics AX/Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations development, including proficiency in X++, C#.NET
• 8+ years of experience using MorphX and Azure Devops
• 5+ years of experience developing reports in SSRS
• Experience working alongside delivery team and 3rd-party functional consultants to develop a deep understanding of the constantly evolving Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations platform
• Experience with Power Platform, Power Apps would be nice to have
• Experience working with software test automation techniques (Test Driven Development) and Unit Test Frameworks
• Experience with Reporting and Business Intelligence tools including Power BI
• Experience with Azure functions, Azure Logic Apps would be nice to have
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with different levels of internal customers
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple demands and thrive in a collaborative environment
• Working knowledge of planning and execution of data conversion and integration processes as part of a D365 deployment
• Exposure to Highly Interfaced ERP Environments
• Experience with Management/Financial Reporter with AX2012 & D365

Not Required, but a plus:

• MS Dynamics AX certifications
• Ability to use/install/setup 3rd party modules with D365
• Experience with Azure functions, service bus and logic apps

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Accounting/Financial or other Technical field; MS Dynamics AX/D365 certification is highly desirable.
