Location: Butler, WI (onsite, Mon–Fri)
Compensation: $105 k – $120 k base + full benefits
Employment: Full-time, direct-hire (W-2)

This senior role blends hands-on design with project leadership and future team-building responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Design & Integration
    • Create concepts, layouts, and detailed drawings for large, one-off machines.
    • Specify materials, weldments, bearings, hydraulics, and drivetrains; ensure designs meet structural and performance targets.
    • Integrate electrical and hydraulic systems seamlessly into mechanical assemblies.
  • Project Ownership
    • Lead multiple projects from kickoff through build, test, and customer delivery.
    • Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, and field-service teams to hit cost, quality, and timeline goals.
  • Technical Leadership
    • Provide expertise in metallurgy, hydraulics, and mining-specific applications.
    • Draft standards, calculations, and risk analyses to elevate product reliability and safety.
  • Department Growth
    • Assist in recruiting and mentoring additional engineers as the business expands.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and clear communication.
