Join our team as a Senior Manager in Risk Appetite Measures, Inventory, and Reporting, and play a crucial role in ensuring our bank’s risk appetite is well articulated through a set of measures that are are comprehensive, forward looking, linked to capital and stress and are accurately and effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Risk Metrics: Ensure the bank has a comprehensive set of metrics covering all organizational risks.
- Metric Definition and Calibration: Properly define, calibrate, and set thresholds for risk metrics.
- Oversight and Challenge: Provide oversight and effective challenge to teams calculating these measures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Expertise in Risk Management: Strong understanding of various risks within banks, including credit, market, operational, and financial risks.
- Experience: Proven experience in risk appetite metrics setting and risk management.
- Quantitative Skills: Ability to work with and interpret large data sets; experience with data querying is a plus.
- Communication and Relationship Management: Excellent skills to convey complex quantitative findings and manage relationships to influence change.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and lead activities.
- Strong communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Effective relationship management to drive change across the organization.
This position is located in the US and offers a hybrid work arrangement with at least 2 days per week designated for in-office collaboration, while other days remote.

Provides oversight, monitoring and reporting on the identification, assessment, monitoring and control of all categories of risk (Market, Operational, Credit, and Liquidity risks) for a designated portfolio and / or jurisdiction. Develops and maintains the risk management framework that includes the governance framework and practices leveraged across the assigned portfolio to manage all risks taken. Provides policies, standards, methodologies and controls that increase transparency, accuracy and consistency across groups. Executes decision rights within the governance framework and works with stakeholders to implement the methodology, metrics and program standards for the assigned portfolio to ensure compliance as well as effective monitoring, timely reporting and identification of action plans.
