Sr. Manager – FP&A

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, technically savvy FP&A Manager or Sr. Manager to help lead financial planning and analysis for SmarterTechnologies. This role will focus heavily on FP&A systems and tooling—designing, implementing, and managing automation and reporting solutions—while remaining flexible to roll up your sleeves on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis.

You'll play a pivotal role in building scalable FP&A infrastructure and ensuring leadership has accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to guide decisions. This is a rare opportunity to lead the end-to-end implementation of a new FP&A tool—from requirements definition and project planning through system configuration, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support—while establishing project governance with clear documentation, standardized processes, and proactive milestone tracking. You'll drive cross-functional collaboration across Finance, IT, HR, Operations, and third-party partners, champion change management through user training and stakeholder communications, and leverage technology to drive process improvements that enhance FP&A effectiveness and inform strategic decision-making.

**This role is fully remote within the US**

What You’ll Do

  • Lead FP&A systems and tooling implementation—evaluate, deploy, and manage planning and reporting software (e.g., Drivetrain, Runway, Mosaic, Adaptive, Anaplan, etc.) to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Own financial model management, including project management across a variety of groups, ongoing maintenance of integrated revenue, expense, and headcount models.
  • Drive monthly and quarterly forecasting cycles, partnering with business leaders to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Develop and automate reporting dashboards and KPI visualizations; streamline data pipelines from accounting and operational systems.
  • Manage the budgeting process, collaborating with internal stakeholders and outsourced accounting teams.
  • Provide variance analysis and executive reporting, delivering actionable insights to leadership and investors.
  • Support ad hoc projects, including pricing analysis, scenario modeling, performance tracking, and integration planning for new acquisitions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, data, and technology teams to enhance financial data quality and system integration.

What You Bring

  • 5–7+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or financial systems roles.
  • Project management experience leading FP&A system implementations (Adaptive, Anaplan, Mosaic, Pigment, Planful, etc.), including stakeholder coordination, timeline management, and change management initiatives, strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling and data management skills; BI tool experience (Power BI, Looker, Tableau) a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable financial processes and automation.
