Position Summary

The Formulary Strategy team leads critical strategies that support the company’s top priorities and guides decisions at the highest levels of leadership. In this role, the Senior Manager will contribute to complex and highly visibility work that shapes our Trade approach and informs enterprise strategic planning.
The Senior Manager, Formulary Strategy will serve as a key subject matter expert on both category level and drug specific formulary strategies, playing a pivotal role in shaping and advancing our Trade initiatives. This leader will proactively identify opportunities to strengthen the organization’s Trade position while balancing clinical, financial, and operational considerations across multiple lines of business. Your ability to influence without authority will be critical to your success, as you will partner and collaborate with many colleagues with potentially competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the SME for drug and category specific formulary strategies, which includes pipeline monitoring, competitive positioning, and formulary design considerations.
Monitor healthcare industry trends, including clinical advancements, regulatory developments, and market dynamics that may impact formulary or Trade strategies.
Proactively identify and develop new Trade strategies to improve Trade and contracting position across trade categories.
Evaluate financial information and market share data to support financial modeling, ensure operational alignment, and identify opportunities for improvement across multiple lines of business.
Collaborate cross functionally with enterprise partners to review concepts and utilization management strategies for Trade implications, effectively representing Trade priorities and influencing decisions without direct authority.
Develop and present executive level presentations that clearly articulates complex Trade concepts, financial insights, and Trade impact to senior leaders and a diverse stakeholder group.
Create business cases and complete basic analyses to interpret data, uncover trends, and generate insight that support future strategies.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience
5+ years of experience in healthcare strategy or corporate development, with experience in segments such as PBM or pharmaceutical segment
3+ years of experience building effective, well-polished presentations for both cross-functional teams and executive leadership
Demonstrated understanding and experience in managed care which may include PBM, Pharma, market access, account management, specialty pharmacy, or health plan experience
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced‑ environment.
Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, able to work independently, anticipate‑ needs, and drive work forward with minimal oversight.
Skilled in interpreting both analytical and financial data to identify trends, generate insights, and support business cases and strategic decision making.
Comfortable working with data, including the ability to analyze trends, interpret results, and translate findings into actionable insights.
Ability to review and interpret financial data to support business cases, evaluate opportunities, and inform strategic recommendations.
Willingness to engage in clinical conversations and contribute to clinically oriented projects, demonstrating resourcefulness and the ability to seek guidance from SMEs

The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
