About the role

Under the direction of the Director of Financial Systems Integration, the Senior Manager of Financial Systems Integration is responsible for managing the execution of long-term strategy of financial systems, while maintaining company financial systems, including configuration, data integrity, user access, system upgrades, and troubleshooting, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial reporting by working closely with the business to translate business needs into system requirements and implement solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Partners with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate enterprise-wide financial system requirements, identifying opportunities for automation, integration, and process improvement to enhance operational efficiency, financial reporting accuracy, and return on investment.
2.    Leads a team of analysts in designing and optimizing financial workflows within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, ensuring alignment with accounting principles and compliance standards. Collaborates with IT to oversee system upgrades, testing, and integration, ensuring seamless functionality across financial modules.
3.    Oversees the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs and user documentation for financial systems. Manages support operations, including issue triage and resolution, to ensure consistent and efficient user experiences across finance-related functions.
4.    Ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data through rigorous validation, reconciliation, and cleansing processes. Develops and maintains advanced financial reports and dashboards to support decision-making, audit compliance, and regulatory reporting.
5.    Leads or contributes to ERP implementation and enhancement projects, with a focus on finance-related modules. Oversees data migration, system testing, and post-implementation reviews to ensure successful deployment and alignment with financial objectives.
6.    Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles.

 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar related required.

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar related preferred.

  • Minimum four (4) years as an Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager in a large company (5,000+) or multi-entity environment required, of which two (2) years is working in ERP system implementations, including module configuration design decisions, testing, and data validation required. 

  • Minimum five (5) years direct supervisory experience, including managing functions, teams or departments required.

  • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)

  • Financial audit and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) compliant knowledge and experience required.

  • Public accounting experience and/or public company experience is preferred.
  • ​Knowledge of how to prepare and review system specification documentation required.
  • Communication skills to effectively interact with both technical (IT) and non-technical stakeholders (business operations) required.
  • Strong understanding of various enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.) and how the systems interact and affect each other required. 
  • Understanding of project managing fundamentals required.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS

  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.

  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is required.

  • No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver’s license or insurance.
