Job Summary:
The Electro-Optics (EO) Department, within the Hardware Organization, is currently searching for a Sr. Manager EO Integration Engineer for a Tactical EO Sensor/Seeker Integration & Test group. Responsibilities will be split between supporting EO program(s) as an engineer (~85%) and providing functional support to the section “Sensor/Seeker Program Leads and REAs” (~15%).
This position is located in Tucson, AZ.
Section Leader Responsibilities to Anticipate:
As a section leader, your responsibilities include working closely with the EO Department Manager and other Section Leaders to align department with company direction. Section Leaders are trustworthy and accountable, willing and able to coach and mentor section members and hold critical conversations.
Other responsibilities include the following;
- Support hiring (resume reviews, interviews, etc.)
- Support and/or drive department initiatives and goals
- Promote collaboration across functional and program boundaries
- Balancing staffing needs and align with section member growth
- Modeling and Driving Raytheon Values and Behaviors
- Support section member performance, career development, and growth throughout the year
- Elicit and compile performance feedback to support Performance Development
- Hold required formal Mid-Year and Year-End Performance Development (PD) discussion where compiled feedback, key strengths and development needs, are conveyed.
Engineering Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include product development, detailed design, analysis, integration and test, or support of transition to production efforts. Additional duties may include factory production line support in the areas of root cause and corrective action and problem resolution at various suppliers.
Candidate will work in a self-directed manner, with only general guidance, while exercising responsibility in determining and meeting the technical, financial and schedule objectives of projects.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 10 years applicable engineering experience in progressing leadership
- Experience in leading a team of Electro-Optical, Mechanical and/or Optical Design disciplines, including performance discussions and career development.
- Experience in electro-optic subsystems, EO integration, EO production support, or EO design.
- Experience in mechanical or optical design and design documentation
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Master’s or PhD in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Mechanical aptitude to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Experience with missile based EO products
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in EO integration or design experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Business Acumen
- Active DoD issued security clearance

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
