About the role

The Senior Manager serves as a leader of the Enablement and Engagement portfolio that promotes community partnerships, a culture of continued learning, and utilization of analytics to improve business outcomes. The manager will be responsible for developing a program to upskill employees and lead the stakeholder engagement initiatives to remove barriers to First Tech being an insights-driven organization.Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:Job Duties
  • Lead a team of high-performing and engaged employees through effective people leadership practices, including regular communication of performance expectations and feedback to employees to maintain high team performance; provide coaching and corrective action as required; actively support employee professional growth and development; effectively employ Project Management practices to organize and manage all scope of work.
  • Plan, lead, and drive a training program that improves the data, reporting, and analytical skills for Analysts and Leadership to enable an insights-driven culture.
  • Partner with EDA CoE Leadership, Learning and Organizational Development (L&OD), Change Management, Human Resources (HR) and Corporate Communications teams to integrate Data and Analytics Enablement program priorities and initiatives into the broader L&OD, HR and Communications processes and programs, embedding data and analytics into the First Tech culture.
  • Collaborate with First Tech’s L&OD team to develop, organize, schedule, and deliver training materials for the Analyst and Leadership community.
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and updates of all training and reference material on intranet and other resource sites related to tools, technologies, and domain specific documents
  • Employ a “user-first” mindset in the establishment of all new data and analytics processes ensuring a comprehensive and best-in-class analytics enablement program.
  • Establish and drive adoption of a Stakeholder Management plan that enables the D&A business transformation across the enterprise including, reporting, business intelligence, and advanced analytics data environments including (Snowflake EDW, Tableau, Dataiku)
  • Drive alignment and excitement for the work the EDA Community is developing through the planning, development and facilitation of programs such as weekly Office Hours, monthly council meetings for Sr Leadership and Subject Matter Experts, weekly and quarterly published newsletters, and an annual EDA Summit event. 
  • Provide thought leadership and and accountability for the adoption, utilization and performance of the Tableau platform 
  • Establish and ensure adherence to best practices for the use of data, and development of business insights, through a Work Product Certification process.
  • Provide team members and partners with thought leadership and coaching on data standards and practices.
  • Keep current on market trends in business intelligence, data science and analytics tools and best practices to uncover solutions to new and existing business challenges and opportunities.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as a marketing or learning and organizational change leader.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience leading people
  • Domain knowledge in business intelligence, analytics, and data management best practices is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute a data enablement strategy at an enterprise level.
  • Excellent business communication skills; able to write/speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences
  • Experience with writing and publishing newsletters 
  • Experience developing and delivering training and certification programs.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills and the ability to self-manage involvement in multiple concurrent areas of responsibility; proven ability to exercise sound judgment and take initiative.
  • Ability to successfully drive projects, processes, and change management concepts in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
  • Demonstrated record of consulting and successfully working in complex, matrixed environments to build and maintain positive relationships and accomplish goals; ability to lead through influence.
