Job Description
MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a Senior Manager, Creative Strategist to help in leading our fast-growing Creative Strategy team.
We are looking for someone who is an established leader and strategist, proactive learner, and wordsmith. You will use data to create insights and develop sponsorship platforms and activation plans for our clients. You must be comfortable doing quick desktop research, be a credible C-level presenter in new business pursuits, and have experience with data visualization and design. Agency experience is required.
You will report to the Director of Creative Strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Building sponsorship strategies for our clients that help them activate in an intentional and informed way – this incudes communication frameworks, activation brainstorming, and social ideation
- Collaborate with our data and analytics team to translate business questions into research and analytical plans, utilizing the most appropriate methodology to yield the most actionable insights
- Contribute creative and unexpected insights that can only be found through an integrated data perspective
- Understand the important trends that inspire audience behavior and affect the way that brands communicate – always living at the intersection of brands, culture, and creativity
- Develop thought leadership and audience insights to share with our teams and publish to external marketing channels
- Lead agency collaboration with junior strategist and other departments (consulting, hospitality, social) to guide teams toward collective client goals
- Assist with department admin to support the Director of Creative Strategy – revenue tracking, team task management and briefing, expense management, peer work review, etc.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of strategy and marketing experience and 2+ years in a sports & entertainment industry role
- Experience linking insights to strategy and translating complex ideas into simple and intuitive communications
- Experience synthesizing data drawn from both quantitative and qualitative methods, and using both approaches to formulate hunches, and produce high quality, unique insights
- History of partnering with senior clients to achieve business and marketing goals
- Fly at multiple altitudes, excelling at high-level conceptual strategy work and the details of strategic implementation
- Clear understanding of the sports & entertainment landscape, and how sponsors, leagues, teams, and brands intersect.
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000-95,000. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
