Project Overview:
Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing, building and commissioning a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. M&T is an exciting and growing business unit that serves customers in the semiconductor, datacenter, life sciences, and electric vehicle markets. Job Summary:
Provides guidance to the Labor Relations (LR) Manager, LR Team, Construction Management, Senior Leadership project and office teams in policy interpretation and LR system/process management. Performs research, internal evaluations, assists various administration tasks as related to Labor Relations functional and/or operational needs. #LI-SM2
Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with projects to resolve LR system related issues.
- Develops/maintains specialized reporting for Project, Client and/or LR management.Develops programming user specifications for system design/maintenance and/or rebuilds.
- Researches and resolves LR policy related issues.
- Travels as needed to project, Building Trade Union Halls and corporate/home offices.
- Work extended hours.
- Monitor and report industry data using multiple sources including subscriptions, internet research, phone calls, and in person visits.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Project management and organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, Access and Visio.Knowledge of Etrack, SAP, and/or PowerBI preferred.
- Broad Labor Relations knowledge in areas of personnel management (e.g., Hires, terms, reclassifications, etc.), Craft Human Resource Information System (CHRIS), Craft Applicant and Requisition System (CARS), and
