Brief Job Overview 

This position is responsible for the management of IT projects involving the development and implementation of business processes in technologies to meet identified business needs, acquiring, and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
This role involves the adoption and adaptation of project management methodologies based on the context of the project and selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.

The Senior IT Project Manager has the following responsibilities:
• Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation, and successful completion of large- scale, complex projects (typically with significant business, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies).
• Adopts and adapts project management methods and tools, selecting appropriately from plan driven /predictive approaches or more adaptive (iterative and agile) approaches.
• Ensures that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained. Monitors and controls resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manages expectations of all project stakeholders.

• Ensures end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefits.
• Leads and manages projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners.
• Manages scope and risk to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters.
• Monitors, controls, and validates financial forecast, resources, and capital costs against the project budget and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures in alignment with project stakeholders’ expectations.
• Develops communication plans and appropriate vehicles to execute on responsibilities.
• Represents the project in briefings to sponsors, key stakeholders, governance, and inter-department forums.
• Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated project schedule and delivery plan.
