Description

As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you will partner with engineering resources and Verily internal business clients to design, develop, and maintain Verily’s broad range of systems and tools. You will manage the customer side of complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your excellent collaboration and communication skills. You will develop a deep understanding of the business requirements and priorities with Verily stakeholders and act as their advocate through the entire IT project lifecycle, assuring our technology projects are optimally aligned to those business needs. This includes helping clients define their needs, gathering/documenting requirements and user stories, providing technical advisory and consulting, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders, designing and implementing new processes, and supporting clients through Verily-facing & internally-facing rollouts. You will help strategically prioritize technical needs into a comprehensive project pipeline. 

You need to be equally comfortable describing analyses and recommendations to customers and executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. You have a passion for excellent customer service and thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented business environment that requires collaboration with a global team. You must be an independent worker with the ability to understand multiple business lines and systems down to small details while still keeping the big picture in focus.

With your technical expertise, you build and integrate business applications and influence the design of features that improve the reliability of our applications and systems. You also define the scope of technical projects and manage execution. You work closely with technical teams to implement scalable, reusable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business group(s) to understand and anticipate in-depth business requirements, priorities, and processes; be an advocate in conversations with technical partners and negotiate best outcomes balancing both specific business needs and broader organizational priorities. 
  • Partner with internal and external technology and business teams to translate business needs into technical terms, including business cases, business requirements, functional requirements, user journeys, and business process flow charts. 
  • Work with engineering team to maintain and coordinate communication with business stakeholders throughout each project.
  • Support testing cycles (UAT, regression, system) and/or Training/Training Materials.
  • Think holistically and work cross-functionally to design and improve processes and tools, work with both highly technical and non-technical disciplines to ensure that program inputs and requirements are translated to achieve the desired results.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business analysis, technology development, or a related field.
  • Experience in Salesforce (SFDC) CRM (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Service Cloud voice and Marketing Cloud) with end to end implementation experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with Agile or other development methodologies and experience in operating as part of a product/project team.
  • Working knowledge of database and system architecture concepts & functionality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a track record of building meaningful relationships and cross-functional connections. 
  • Experience with Quote to cash and Contact to service business processes is a plus.
  • Experience with healthcare & life sciences, human resources, compliance & legal, supply chain, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA and related regulations would be a plus.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $124,000 - $191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and locatio
