Position: Infrastructure Engineer

Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Reports To: Director of Engineering

 

Job Overview: Our Infrastructure Engineer focuses on deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that fit our platforms needs. To be successful you will have a solid background in software engineering and be experienced in evolving and improving DevOps practices. The Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with the rest of the engineering team to ensure that processes and best practices are in place to provide continuous delivery with high software quality. 

Responsibilities: 

• Establish new and/or improve upon existing CI/CD processes and patterns
• Support the engineering team with deployment issues
• Support the engineering team with root cause analysis and resolution of production issues
• Manage system logs and perform regular log analysis
• Work closely with technical leads to maintain and improve the company's cloud infrastructure
• Work closely with technical leads to enhance and enforce infrastructure security protocols
• Identify manual processes that can/should be automated
• Design and document procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar software engineering role
• Experience with cloud platform technologies, preferably AWS
• Experience with Containers and deploying containerized applications
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools, preferably Datadog
• Problem-solving attitude
• Collaborative team spirit

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with Kubernetes or other orchestration tools
• Knowledge of service mesh, preferably Linkerd or nginx
• Process oriented with an emphasis on documentation
