Job Title

Senior Implementations Advisor

About your role:

We’re looking for a Senior Implementations Advisor to lead complex merchant implementations across multiple products and workstreams. In this role, you’ll partner with client stakeholders and internal teams to plan, coordinate, and deliver end-to-end implementations that meet scope, timeline, and quality expectations, while supporting strong client adoption and operational readiness.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead end-to-end implementation delivery for merchant fraud products, including discovery, requirements, configuration, testing, implementation, and transition.
  • Serve as the primary implementation point of contact for client stakeholders, coordinating deliverables, timelines, risks, and dependencies across workstreams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Operations, Risk, Support, and third parties as needed) to drive execution and issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain project artifacts (integrated project plan, RAID log, status reporting, test plans, cutover plan, training/adoption materials).
  • Manage product dependencies and sequencing, ensuring readiness criteria are met for each product prior to go-live.
  • Validate integration requirements where applicable (e.g., APIs, file exchange, devices, credentials, environments) and coordinate technical activities across merchant and internal teams.
  • Lead UAT planning and execution; ensure defects are tracked, prioritized, and resolved in alignment with go-live milestones.
  • Manage change control and scope governance; communicate options, impacts, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support merchant readiness activities including operational procedures, reporting, reconciliation considerations, and support handoffs.
  • Drive continuous improvement by refining implementation playbooks, templates, and best practices for multi-product merchant deployments.
  • Mentor junior implementation team members and provide delivery leadership on complex engagements.
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent combination of experience, education and military.
  • 7+ years of experience in client implementations, onboarding, or professional services in payments, fintech, SaaS, or merchant services.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional, client-facing implementations with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Strong project management skills (planning, risk management, stakeholder management, executive-ready communication).
  • Working knowledge of merchant processing concepts (e.g., onboarding, credentials, settlement, reporting, dispute/chargeback basics, devices or integration touchpoints).
  • Experience coordinating technical workstreams (APIs/integrations, file formats, testing, environments), even if not hands-on coding.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience implementing multiple merchant-facing products in a coordinated program (e.g., gateway + processing + reporting/analytics + disputes tools + device enablement).
  • Familiarity with merchant operational workflows (reconciliation, funding/settlement, customer service, exception handling).
  • Relevant certifications (PMP, CSM, or equivalent).

How you’ll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
