What You’ll Do
Location: Scottsdale, Onsite 1 day per week at Headquarters and/or Ops & Manufacturing sites based in North Phoenix/Scottsdale
Reports to: VP Shared Services
We are currently seeking a talented People Operations (Human Resources) Specialist to join our Shared Services team. This role will execute and facilitate People Ops processes including, but not limited to onboarding new hires, processing background checks, executing necessary HRIS transactions, and general support of front line employees’ needs. This role will also spend one day a week on our Operations floor serving as the People Ops point of contact & team representative for our Manufacturing team members. To excel in this role, you should be an excellent communicator, comfortable using data to inform business decisions, have a customer service mindset, be a master problem solver, and have had previous experience in an HR function.
Your Impact
- You will own the front end of our employee life cycle, our onboarding processes, for our US and EMEA teams. In this role you will work with cross functional stakeholders as well as incoming employees as we execute all onboarding activities to hire them into Axon.
- You will work through scaling the hiring timelines and processes across our shared services team to ensure seamless resourcing and be an “owner” of the internal onboarding strategy.
- You will partner with other People Ops teammates, employees, and managers to deliver services for employees and candidates and be the point of contact for People Ops as the subject matter expert for this lifecycle.
- You will interact daily with leaders and employees, maintain an open line of communication, and identify and address needs and/or concerns as they arise.
- You will act as a superuser for HR systems and steward of employee data; generating reports with a high level of data integrity.
- You will provide insights and ideas to automate and continuously improve HR processes which enhance the employee experience.
- You will maintain compliance with local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices.
- Once per week you will spend a day at one of our HQ sites locally in Scottsdale, providing service to our Operations and Manufacturing employees, working through day to day concerns or issues, problem solving, and suggestions optimization needs back to People Ops. You will get hands on generalist experience to build you for the future, while having the autonomy to make suggestions for improvements for the team today.
What You Bring
- A bachelors degree in Human Resources, management, or business-related field
- At least two years’ experience in an HR role
- Depth of knowledge in an HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and Applicant Tracking System/Tool
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Thoroughness with an ability to multi task and stay organized in an array of tasks of varying degrees of difficulty and complexity
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at multiple levels
- A customer service mindset, and strong ownership at work
- A team player with a desire to support others and continuously raise the bar
- Ability to anticipate customer and stakeholder needs and proactively follow through
- Experience with process optimization or continuous improvement

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 42,000 in the lowest geograApply for this role
