About the role

About the Role

Clutch is building the systems, judgment, and culture needed to sustain our pace of growth and innovation. This is a strategic partner role, not a traditional HRBP seat, and much of what you own needs to be built and evolved in real time rather than run from an existing playbook. It's for someone who wants to keep experimenting with creative solutions, is comfortable building the playbook instead of inheriting one, and is excited about how AI can unlock leverage for the HRBP function.

You'll partner directly with leadership to raise the caliber of how the business operates: designing the systems and standards that reinforce a high-performance culture, building the frameworks that give leaders the judgment to navigate ambiguity and change, and shaping how the company communicates internally to stay aligned through growth.

You'll also be trusted with sensitive, high-stakes people situations. You'll bring composure and sound judgment to how they're navigated, and know when to make the call yourself versus when to escalate. Your success is measured by the caliber and consistency of judgment across the leadership layer, not just the programs you build, but whether the business runs better and more consistently because of them.

About the Team

You'll be joining Clutch's People Experience team, dedicated to building a world-class environment where every Clutchie across the US & LatAm can do their best work and be their best self. HRBPs work closely alongside our HR Operations team — the partnership that builds the systems and processes behind the end-to-end employee experience, so this role's work on culture, judgment, and accountability is backed by strong operational infrastructure, not built in isolation. As the second HRBP on a growing team, you'll work closely with the HRBP Lead as a true strategic partner, with real ownership over how the function evolves.

What You’ll Do

Within 1 month, you will:

  • Build trusted relationships with the managers and leaders you'll be partnering with most closely, developing a clear picture of how decisions get made today and where judgment gaps show up.

  • Develop fluency in Clutch's current performance and accountability systems, culture norms, and internal communication rhythms.

  • Identify where trust and context need to be built before taking on the most sensitive work, and sequence your own ramp accordingly

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Stand up the first concrete improvements to how Clutch defines and reinforces a high-performance culture, translating "raising the bar" into systems managers can actually use

  • Shape and begin executing an internal communications strategy that keeps the business aligned as change accelerates

  • Be trusted to weigh in on sensitive, judgment-heavy people situations with increasing autonomy

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Own the systems that help managers and leaders build the judgment needed to operate well through high-change, high-growth conditions

  • Design and operationalize stronger systems of accountability and consistency in how performance is managed across the business

  • Deepen engagement and organizational health touchpoints in partnership with people managers, helping culture and operating norms hold steady through periods of significant change

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years as an HR Business Partner in fast-paced high-growth environments, preferably in SaaS and/or Fintech

  • Experience coaching and advising people managers through ambiguous, high-stakes situations, especially around building leadership judgment during periods of change.

  • A track record designing and standing up HR programs or systems from the ground up — not just administering or optimizing what already exists

  • Strong business acumen: fluency with financials, organizational priorities, and translating between HR and business considerations to build credibility with senior stakeholders

  • Experience navigating sensitive, high-stakes employee situations with sound, independent judgment

  • Sharp communication skills that flex across audiences, from frontline managers to senior leadership, including experience shaping internal communications strategy

  • Relationship-building instincts paired with sound escalation judgment that earns trust and credibility

  • Comfort operating in high-growth, high-ambiguity environments where systems and processes are still being built, not just followed

  • Fluency using AI to drive efficiency in not only your own work, but also in that of leaders and the whole company
