About the role

THE ROLEWe are looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to join our Engineering team and serve as a thought-leader in the development of our engineering- and product-focused initiatives. This role will be responsible for collaborating with product and design to implement novel user interface components, ensuring a highly intuitive and seamless responsive design across multiple platforms to support our customers in a variety of different means. As a Senior Front-End Software Engineer, you will interface with cross-functional teams, including back-end developers and UX/UI designers, to create an exceptional user experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and execute on software engineering projects such as developing, maintaining and improving web apps, websites, mobile device apps and microsites.
  • Partner with a back-end team to deliver highly integrated tools and solutions with a focus to display useful information to the customer and easily allow user-input and information control.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure technical feasibility and timelines before translating design wireframes into high-quality code.
  • Optimize applications for usability, speed and scalability, within a secure and HIPAA compliant environment.
  • Collaborate with multiple team members, partners, contractors and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Oversee and develop junior engineering team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to front-end development.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 
  • 5-10 years experience as a front-end developer or similar role utilizing various programming languages/frameworks including JavaScript, react, angular, vue.
  • Ability to project manage/coordinate, especially for complex products utilized by non-technical users
  • Familiarity with build tools and package managers.
  • Experience with version control systems, ticket management systems (e.g., Git, Jira).
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, programming languages, processes, and systems quickly, and to make recommendations that will support the teams.
  • Ability to think outside of the box and bring creative solutions and improvements to our operations.
  • A collaborative work style and strong communication skills, and the desire to work in a highly team-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or more advanced in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
