What You’ll Do:
Operating at the intersection of Solution Engineering, Professional Services and Product Management, Senior Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) leverage state-of-the-art AI tooling alongside deep implementation expertise and industry knowledge to build foundational solutions, solve complex problems, accelerate our customers' time-to-value and decrease the cost of traditional services. You will partner with our sales organization by applying your technical abilities, problem solving skills and business acumen in support of SailPoint’s growth objectives, with our largest, most strategic and complex accounts.
Senior Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) at SailPoint embark on their journey by undergoing comprehensive product and sales training. This initial phase allows them to harness their existing experience, paving the way for a profound understanding of our SaaS solutions and the challenges they solve for our customers.
Within two months, Senior FDEs begin participating in sales deals where they will leverage their product implementation expertise as well as client and partner communication skills to implement foundational solutions and proof-of-value implementations, leading to rapid time to value.
After their first six months, FDEs will be expected to serve as technical leads on customer engagements and have established themselves as both technical and consultative experts within the SailPoint Sales organization.
By the end of their first year, they will have become a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and to less experienced team members. They may have the opportunity to speak at national or regional conferences and user groups.
Responsibilities:
Actively participate in the sales process and work closely with the direct and channel sales teams
Discover and understand customer requirements and align our solutions to those requirements, augmenting your expertise with AI tooling
Participate in onsite and remote foundational implementation engagements
Educate customers on high-level product architecture, functional design, and best practices
Assist in the analysis, and documentation of customer requirements and how they map to SailPoint solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams like sales, solution engineering, product, profe
