As adoption scales, <strong>cost visibility, allocation, and optimization must be engineered into the platform</strong>, not managed reactively.</p> <p>As a <strong>Senior Cloud FinOps Platform Engineer</strong>, you will <strong>lead the development and evolution of the cost management capabilities of the cloud platform</strong>—ensuring teams can understand, attribute, and optimize their cloud usage through standardized, automated, and self-service mechanisms.</p> <p>This role operates at the <strong>platform layer</strong>, embedding FinOps practices into <strong>cloud foundations, guardrails, and automation workflows</strong>, rather than managing costs through manual reporting or one-off analysis. You will provide technical leadership for cloud optimization initiatives and help establish reusable FinOps patterns and standards across the organization.</p> <p>Success in this role means cost management becomes <strong>predictable, transparent, actionable, and scalable</strong>, with measurable financial outcomes and decreasing operational overhead.</p> <h2>What You’ll Do</h2> <h3>Build Cost-Aware Platform Foundations</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Design and evolve cost allocation standards</strong> (tagging, labeling, account structure) across cloud environments</li> <li>Embed cost insight into platform provisioning workflows and templates</li> <li>Ensure cloud resources are created with <strong>consistent, enforceable cost attribution</strong></li> </ul> <h3>Expand Cost Visibility &amp; Tooling</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Lead the integration and ongoing development of cloud cost platforms and automation such as Flexera, CloudZero, or equivalent aggregation tools, and cost optimization tools like ProsperOps </strong></li> <li>Enable <strong>cross-cloud cost visibility</strong>, unit cost analysis, and business-level attribution, including a <strong>showback model</strong></li> <li>Build and maintain <strong>cost dashboards, alerts, budgets
