Our company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to utilize financial and operational information to make timely reporting to both financial institutions and internal stakeholders. The right candidate will enjoy and show proficiency in both the compilation of financial statements and creating new and useful analysis and tools to support informed decision-making. Approximately 50% of the position will be dedicated to comprehensive sales, commissions and profitability analysis with the balance covering standard financial reporting for internal stakeholders. The analyst will also be heavily involved in our quarterly board meeting preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the Annual Sales Budget, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Transform raw sales and profitability data into actionable insights by creating comprehensive reports and dashboards that highlight key trends, performance metrics and growth opportunities.
- Provide detailed, customized reports for sales leadership to help them understand commission structures, payouts, and their impact on sales performance.
- Assist with the creation and reporting of various financial analysis including month end reporting packages, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Present financial findings to management on a recurring basis.
- Identify opportunities for and establish financial process improvements.
- Work with databases to create and report metrics, justifications, analysis and other financial/performance analytics.
- Additional ad hoc analysis projects as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2-4 years of Accounting and/or Finance experience required.
- Must have experience focused on Financial Statement Analysis (forecast modeling, environmental analysis, corporate strategy, etc.).
- Must show a drive to consistently improve the functions for which they are responsible.
- Must have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft 365/MS Office products, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Power Query a plus).
- Experience working with a relational database structure a plus (ex. SQL, Access).
- Experience working with Salesforce CRM a plus.
