Description
The Senior Financial Analyst prepares and analyzes financial plans, forecasts, and reports. This role also supports Service Sales with analysis and other ad hoc business analysis needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
- Supports creation of monthly and quarterly reporting package for Leadership and Board of Directors.
- Develops annual budget templates and coordinates annual process across departmental leadership.
- Performs monthly variance analysis, identifying trends, including associated commentary.
- Supports Service Sales with Customer Business Reviews reporting and analysis.
- Analyzes performance metrics using financial and statistical analysis.
- Uses data visualizations to gain insight to key business drivers and operational effectiveness.
- Updates monthly revenue and cash forecasts as needed.
- Provides support to Sr. Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, VP of Finance, and Controller for monthly close activities.
- Assists in integration of automated analytics across the organization.
- Performs Ad Hoc reporting/analysis as required.
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Advanced financial modeling skills.
- Experience with recurring revenue recognition and modelling a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, and/or Power BI a plus.
- Experience with an ERP or accounting software required.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Organization and time management skills.
- Comfort and flexibility adjusting to rapidly changing priorities.
- Detail oriented and accurate.
- Ability to maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients and the public.
- Willingness to be part of a team and cooperate in the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance.
- 3-5+ years’ experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis, or a master’s degree and 2-3+ years’ experience.
- CPA or professional certification a plus.
