Job Description:

The Identity & Access Management Architect is a forward-thinking technical subject matter expert (SME) responsible for maintaining, automating, modernizing, and continuously optimizing identity and access management (IAM) solutions and services based on evolving technologies, security/compliance requirements, policies, and principles.

The ideal architect is a passionate, results-oriented technologist who enjoys learning new technologies and getting elbows deep with something new. This ideal architect has spent years honing knowledge and skills in identity technologies. This role will participate in the on-call rotation providing 24/7 coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify tools and processes to prevent or shorten IAM issues alongside troubleshooting, resolving, and promptly finding the root cause of IAM issues
  • Serves as a senior-level IAM advisor and collaborates with global stakeholders to design, document, implement, administer, monitor, maintain, and support various IAM technologies securing our multi-cloud environment with a blend of legacy and innovative platforms.
  • Implements and supports technical processes for Authentication and Authorization logging and reporting.
  • Analyzes and documents requirements for various IAM domains such as Access Management, Identity Lifecycle Management, Privileged Access Management, Reporting and Analytics.
  • Design and implement reliable, scalable, high performing IAM products and solutions that meet governance, procedure, standards, and processes.
  • Drive the technical tactical tasks related to the vision and design, ensuring security architecture is compliant with the least privileged model.
  • Implement real-world experience and research best practices for protecting Datasite resources and intellectual property through strict and consistent access control policies that ensure data and data processing systems remain confidential, trustworthy, and available.
  • Provides day-to-day engineering, architectural strategy, and tactical direction of identity management services, as well as supporting, troubleshooting, and sustaining the existing implementation of IAM, including resolving any security issues related to such operations and ensuring least privileged safeguards.
  • Works in partnership with teams across the organization on multiple projects simultaneously and delivers continuous results and improvements.
  • Continuously focuses on reducing technical debt and IAM automation development.
  • Participate in disaster recovery, contingency planning, and testing for identity systems.
  • Conducts assessments of IAM security controls and configurations of systems within the global infrastructure to address identified gaps and improvements in IAM security controls or solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, and/or related experience in an IT discipline
  • 4+ years of enterprise IAM experience, including strong understanding of IAM foundational concepts
  • 4+ years working in hybrid multi-cloud, multi-tenant environment
  • Agile/Scrum/Kanban process and environments
  • Expert knowledge of authentication and authorization standards
  • Excellent communications skills, relationship skills, and customer service attitude in working with highly-technical and non-technical personnel across all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional organization and analysis skills, sophisticated problem-solving ability, and functions well within a team, willing to train and cross-train staff
  • Implementation experience with Cloud environments, lifecycle events, governance, and authentication
  • Single Sign-On by way of SAML and OIDC using an identity platform
  • Multi factor authentication tools
  • Identity Management and privilege automation tools
  • 3+ years hands-on cloud experience deploying IaaS and/or PaaS systems in Azure
  • Adept in at least one programing language
  • Current and working knowledge of CIS security practices and best practices
  • 2+ years documenting processes and procedures for other departments to use in support of the environments built and maintained
  • Reducing and eliminating technical debt
  • Business continuity / disaster recovery practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
