Senior Specialist – Nuclear Technology and Alternative Fuels
We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Specialist to join our dynamic team, to lead and oversee projects related to nuclear technology and alternative fuels.
Your duties will include:
- Lead and manage nuclear technology and alternative fuels projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Take leadership on the technical aspects of projects and delegate activities to younger engineers within the team
- Support segment managers on the development and execution of new services within LR which often requires multidisciplinary interaction
- Conduct advisory services in areas of specialisation for global clients.
- Work with the LR Technical Directorate in the development of new rulesets in areas of specialisation.
- Represent LR with strong external presence including active participation in working groups, presentations at conferences and other events, creation of thought leadership collateral, etc.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing, client meetings, and presentations.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Experience (at least 5 years) in nuclear technology and alternative fuels in the marine sector.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines related to nuclear technology and alternative fuels.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
