Join our Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) Engineering and Technology (E&T) team in El Segundo, CA, and become a Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer to support the Southwest Region. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with customer requirements, building codes, and regulations. As a Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer, you will develop technical design statements of work, review final designs, and provide rough cost estimates for various projects. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to safety will ensure that our buildings, equipment installations, utility systems, and grounds meet the highest standards.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leading project teams in developing technical design statements of work and rough cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring building and equipment safety

• Reviewing electrical design drawings for compliance with customer requirements, company’s standards, building codes, and regulations

• Troubleshooting building electrical issues and addressing trouble calls with the Maintenance Team

• Ensuring accuracy of drawing archives by reviewing contractor redlines and documenting construction changes

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at  the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in ABET accredited course of study in engineering or engineering technology

• 5+ years of experience using AutoCAD or a similar CAD package

• 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 5+ years of experience with building and safety codes

• 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project

• Experience with Revit

• Experience in an engineering, facilities and/or maintenance role in a manufacturing environment

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
