Senior EA and Quantity Surveyor

 

Homeworking – covering the North, Midlands and South East

 

£59,281 - £68,641 per year plus Company car or car allowance

 

35 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 9:00am – 5:00pm

 

We have an opportunity for a Senior EA and Quantity Surveyor to join our Employer’s Agent team which is part of our wider Development Construction department. The team is responsible for Cost Planning, tendering construction projects, negotiating contract terms with contractors, compiling contract documents and administering on site construction contracts for the Group’s ongoing Development programme. The role will require the successful candidate to manage independent projects covering the North, Midlands and South East regions of the country.

 

The role of Senior EA and Quantity Surveyor will include:

  • Managing the contract administration of Design and Build construction projects
  • Chairing progress meetings, carrying out interim valuations and issuing contract instructions
  • Assessing contractual claims, managing information flow and liaising with internal partner departments
  • Contribute in collaboration with Project Managers to the provision of all legislative and regulatory requirements for development activities
  • Manage risk and finance in relation to development opportunities and projects

 

Skills and experiences:

  • A relevant BSc degree qualification and ideally a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS), or working towards Chartership
  • Member or close to membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
  • Recent experience in undertaking a similar role working within a professional consultancy or a similar organisation
  • Experience in the construction of a variety of building types, with particular experience in residential properties, Care Homes and student accommodation is desirable
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
