Senior Distribution Control Center Leader

Position Summary

Directs and supports the daily real-time operation of the control center, including dispatch functions associated with responding to outages, emergencies, and other routine service work. Responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of the gas and electric system. Possesses expert subject-matter knowledge of operations and expert experience managing the risks and restoration efforts for complex operating scenarios. Contributes to achieving specific safety, productivity, customer service, and delivery reliability targets that are consistent with the business plan and service-level agreements with Asset Management.

Essential Responsibilities

• Directs electric distribution control center employees in their daily real-time functions, including dispatching, responding to outages, switching, advanced applications, emergencies and other routine service work. Supports the departmental business plan by contributing to the effective and efficient assignment of resources with emphasis on safety, customer satisfaction, reliability, cost, and compliance with regulations.

• Supports and actively participates in the development of employees, through training, mentoring and succession development.

• Contributes to safety, cost, customer service, and reliability targets that are consistent with the business plan and service-level agreements. Directs the implementation of business plan strategy and tactics.

• Supports the implementation of new technologies so that productivity, customer service, and reliability targets are achieved.

• Participates on teams as necessary to provide expert technical & operational support to others.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with prior control center experience.

• 6 years of electric delivery experience.

• Must be able to adjust work schedule to provide technical coverage as needed.

• Travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with ADMS software along with advancements and upgrades highly preferred.

• Professional Engineering License or Master's Degree

• Working knowledge of operational tools preferred.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $95,200.00 to $135,200.00 per year
