About the role

Ergon Inc. seeks a full-time Senior Director, Talent Management, to join our Human Resources team in Flowood, MS. The Senior Director, Talent Management, provides executive leadership for Ergon's enterprise Talent Management strategy, spanning Talent Acquisition, Talent Management systems and governance, and Talent Development. This role is responsible for architecting and integrating scalable, enterprise-wide people systems that strengthen Ergon's talent reservoir, improve retention, enhance leadership capability, and build a unified talent ecosystem. The Senior Director establishes governance, standards, and operating mechanisms that ensure consistency and excellence across divisions while empowering Directors, embedded HR teams, and business leaders to execute effectively.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Engineering, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR or talent leadership experience.
  • 7+ years leading enterprise-level talent, learning, or leadership functions.
  • Proven success designing and scaling enterprise talent systems across multiple businesses or regions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading senior HR leaders and driving cross-organizational alignment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set and steward the enterprise talent vision, framework, and multi-year roadmap.
  • Align Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Talent Development strategies with Ergon's culture, values, and long-term growth objectives.
  • Establish governance structures, standards, and operating mechanisms to drive consistency across divisions and embedded HR teams.
  • Ensure enterprise-wide compliance and disciplined execution of talent systems and annual cycles.
  • Lead the enterprise Talent Management organization through three Directors: Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Talent Development.
  • Drive strategic prioritization, capability building, and integration across HR.
  • Ensure talent systems are scalable, measurable, and aligned to evolving business needs.
  • Build leadership depth and succession within the Talent COE structure.
  • Guide the Recruiting Center of Expertise to deliver best-in-class hiring practices.
  • Improve quality-of-hire, time-to-fill, and first-year retention outcomes.
  • Oversee enterprise workforce planning and talent reservoir strategy.
  • Develop key talent segments, including early career pipelines, leadership roles, and critical skill capabilities.
  • Ensure systems support data-driven talent decisions and accelerate leadership readiness.
  • Drive consistency and adoption across business units.
  • Shape enterprise leadership development architecture.
  • Align development strategy with Ergon competencies and future business capability needs.
  • Build alignment and shared accountability across Business Unit and Division HR leaders.
