Summary

Summary:

Temporal seeks a Senior Director,  Demand Generation, to lead our revenue-focused marketing efforts and support our brand and awareness-focused marketing efforts. The successful candidate can architect a clear strategy with correct KPIs to measure performance, hire effectively, and drive projects to completion with exceptional quality across a cross-functional team of peers. The right candidate is analytical, iterative, and a “builder” by nature. Reporting directly to the CMO, the Head of Demand Generation and team is the driving force behind Temporal’s incredible growth and velocity. 

 

The DG team comprises Campaigns, Performance Marketing (paid digital, ABM), and Field Marketing.

What you will do:

  • Cross-Functional Demand Strategy:
    • Translate cross-organizational goals and initiatives into concise demand strategies with clear targets and forecastable outcomes to drive growth and awareness within key personas of developers, architects, and technical executives
    • Connect the customer journey across multiple touchpoints, including email, digital, web, and events, bringing together cohesive experiences and nurtures to move prospects down the funnel.
    • Tightly manage spending across performance marketing, field marketing, campaigns, and automation to deliver a performant but efficient DG program.
    • Execute against account-centric response goals, driving engagement in specified buying personas and accounts aligned to sales targets.
    • Analyze data insights to refine and improve demand-generation programs continuously
  • Marketing Systems and Process Expertise:
    • Leverage deep expertise in marketing automation systems, CRM platforms, and other relevant technologies to optimize and streamline demand programs
    • Enhance marketing systems for efficient lead generation, scoring, and nurturing 
  • Campaign design, execution, and measurement:
    • Oversee the flawless execution of demand generation campaigns for Temporal, ensuring precision and consistency across all marketing materials
    • Create awareness and demand. Collaborate with product marketing to articulate compelling value propositions for Temporal’s durable execution solutions.
  • Product-Led Growth Leadership:
    • Infuse product-led growth principles into demand generation strategies for Temporal, driving user acquisition, user proliferation, and engagement 
    • Extend PLG efforts up into the marketing funnel and connect the top of the funnel with our self-service experience or OSS products. 

What you will bring:

  • Experience in demand generation, focusing on enterprise software marketing to technical buyers.
  • Experience with automation technologies and best practices.
  • Experience leading strategic planning and target-setting exercises for revenue-focused programs.
  • Must have dev tools or deep PLG experience
  • Analytical mindset with experience reporting out to executive or board-level audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

Compensation

  • The estimated pay range for this role is $240,000 - $300,000
  • This role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan
Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission compensation (when applicable) across several geographic markets. Employment offers carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, knowledge, expertise, skillset, market location, and job level assessed during the interview process.   Employee benefits and perks below are for full-time employees, part-time or temporary positions are excluded.
