About the role

How you will helpYou will take ownership of HealthVerity’s Data Acquisition and technical integration team. This team is thetechnical contact for all incoming data feeds and helps manage the onboarding of data sets to theHealthVerity Marketplace. This team coordinates with the data quality, architecture, operations, and deliveryteams to ensure accurate onboarding and stakeholder alignment. Additionally, you will work with ourproduct and client facing teams to lead and be responsible for the technical integration of clients andpartners.On a personal level, communication and leadership skills are paramount. When challenges arise, you willorganize internal and external communications to ensure data stakeholders are updated and that theresponsible party is taking steps to resolve the issue.
What you will do• Perform management responsibilities for the Data Product Engineering team, including managerialsupport, regular one on ones, and quarterly performance reviews• Provide escalated support for high profile issues• Build a creative and innovative culture and a passion for providing an exceptional customer experience• Keep the pulse on the existing & new onboardings into the HV data ecosystem, applying a rhythm ofreview for quality assurance, usage, and salability during onboarding• Be able to insert yourself into client onboardings to provide senior and experienced assistance to theteam and provide solutions when issues and gaps are identified• Present to executive management on team initiatives, progress, and pain points• Act as champion for process and tools purchase/implementation for internal data team focused onprocessing of new data suppliers• Contribute to long term organization vision, roadmap and goals• Own your team’s metrics and drive the plan to attain and exceed them• Be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the datasets being onboarded• Work with cross functional peers to ensure department and stakeholder expectations are met• Refine and enhance the process for onboarding data to our data warehouse• Engage directly and regularly with stakeholders to gain in-depth understanding of concerns impactingtheir needs• Help train the team on data stewardship and healthcare data interpretation• Contribute to the personal/professional growth and development of the team, their technicalresponsibilities and deliverables, and the team culture• Lead the teams toward quicker revenue, greater customer satisfaction, lower QC failures, and higherlevels of “first time right”• Increase number of clients for onboardings with a lower level of QC issues. Specifically, decrease ourclient onboarding time from layout receipt• Maintain in depth understanding of software installations, and empathically relay information to ourcustomers• Manage KPIs and evaluation of team performance• In addition to the daily operational responsibilities, this individual will be expected to automate,formalize, and help refine the data acquisition process as a whole
About You• A data geek with a passionate sense of ownership• Experience navigating and investigating data sets in cloud/databases/flat files using appropriate tools• Experience partnering closely with data teams (analytics/operations/engineers/governance/quality),and other cross-functional teams to onboard data• Experience managing the full data product lifecycle: planning, development, operations and launch• A self-starter who enjoys working in a growing, rapidly changing, fast paced environment• Confident enough to course correct a process or team when required• Methodical, executing through several approaches to determine the best fit• Energized by learning, even if outside the scope of day-to-day responsibilities• Comfortable working on several different tasks throughout your workday• Demonstrated ability leading a customer facing team – strong people management, coaching, anddevelopment experience• Capable of fostering and promoting a culture of employee development and learning, while alsoachieving critical business tasks• Skilled in customer-facing interactions and relationship-building• Experienced working on integrations with 3rd party technical teams• Someone who dives deep into the granular details of complex explanations• Capable of simplifying complex explanations• Passionate about people management and supporting team members’ development
Desired Skills and Experience• BS degree in management, communications, math, statistics• 10+ years’ experience in the data industry, preferably in a big data environments• Experience working closely with data and analytics product teams, especially in healthcare/pharmaspace• Out-of-the-box thinker for improving processes with automation• Experience using collaborative tools like Confluence, JIRA, and related data tools• Knowledge of modern ingestion pipelines, ETL processes, statistical analysis techniques and datavisualization• The ability to switch between long-term and short-term thinking, planning, and execut
