Job Description
We recently established the Finance Velocity Office, designed to accelerate our path to building a world-class finance function. This newly created function will shape our transformation strategy, improve our business operations and enhance the impact we make as a function. Why velocity? This newly dedicated team will help us drive global consistency and operate as one team to:
- Build a foundation that supports the growth and complexity of our business and improves the day-to-day interactions of our Finance teams.
- Modernize our processes to enable better, faster decision making and drive more timely insights for our clients and business partners.
- Implement technology to evolve how we work together to achieve meaningful, sustainable change and enable our long-term growth agenda.
- Ensure a clear and measurable set of KPIs against our Finance OKRs and Scorecard to track, report and recognize key milestones and impact statements for our work product.
The Senior Director Business Intelligence and Analytics will join the Finance Velocity office to design, build and advance the critical tools, systems, capabilities and innovation of Business Intelligence. The BI lead will run a team of Data Scientists and/or professionals to develop and run a set of core data capabilities as a Center of Excellence including modernization of tools e.g. AI while leading an initiative to shape and refine our end-to-end approach to Data access and availability, reporting automation and standardization and systems user needs and requirements. They will evaluate and influence visualization tools e.g. Tableau and/or Power BI.
Essential Functions:
Enable Data Driven Decision Making:
- Evaluate and design strategy and end state vision for integrated, modernized and scalable systems
- Elevate and Enable insight-based, forward looking decision making
- Dedicated teams to develop new 'digital' offerings for business decision support
- Identify advanced analytics/ AI tooling and use case
- Empower leadership with self-service BI to track key KPIs and steer business accordingly
- Clear standards govern ERP/BI and analytic tool landscape
- Critical data is harmonized & data governance enforces compliance
- Business partners identify true value drivers via advanced analytics and AI/ML tools
- Manage and develop a team of SMEs, Data Scientists, Power Users across Finance
- Influence without accountability for training on tools and processes
“A” Accountability over select Key Initiatives:
- Drive and deliver business intelligence workstream as Initiative owners as part of Transformation, define end-state COE systems, processes and tools for ongoing Data and Analytics
- AI champion across Transformation as COE on tools and capabilities, institute and scale training, best practice sharing and SME center of excellence
- Provide KPI reporting on status of key initiatives and deliverables
- Enable broader KPI reporting against key metrics leveraging data scientists team
- Develop and manage internal processes and best practices around data, reporting and analytics
- Influence and provide thought leadership of shared reporting HUB and capabilities
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
