• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technology related field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills, both through written and verbal channels
• Ability to work effectively in global teams distributed across geographic locations in an Agile way
• Desire and ability to learn and implement new technologies.
• Keen ability to see complex challenges from multiple perspectives, and leaning in to solve independently or with others
• Hands-on experience building scalable, resilient, and cost-effective data products (preferably on AWS)
• Experience in AWS resources like EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, etc. Proven knowledge of AWS via Associate, Professional, or Specialty Certification(s) a big plus.
• Demonstrated experience developing and debugging SQL and PL/SQL.
• Thorough understanding of Data modelling and ETL/ELT concepts/tools.
• Demonstrated experience in efficient programming using Python, Java, Unix, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in using multiple types of databases such Relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.), NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elastic search), Distributed Database (CockroachDB, YugabyteDB) and Graph databases (Neptune, Neo4J, etc.)
• Experience with DevOps or CI/CD Pipelines using Git, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, Stash, Ansible, etc.
• Knowledge in Kafka Streaming/Messaging Technologies (or similar - Kinesis, SNS, SQS)
• Ability to validate, monitor, and solve issues during development, testing, or in production.
