Job Summary:
The Senior Data Analyst will provide complex custom reports and recurring data extracts to our diverse client base. You will leverage deep expertise in claims data. Utilizing underlying data sources, your work will include synthesizing data in SQL and collaborating with colleagues and clients to deliver polished reports in a timely manner. You will work autonomously to balance multiple ongoing projects and deal with competing priorities and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Generate quantitative reports of large-scale healthcare data for use in solving client business issues
Expertise in custom projects focused on claims based reporting using SQL, Excel, or other software focused on longitudinal patient analyses and ad hoc custom calculations
Create complex reports with raw claims reporting across all data sources
Partner with the Product and Customer Success teams to deliver informed analyses to customers
Coordinate appropriate parties for escalation of client issues
Create deliverables to assist with customer engagements
Collaborate with fellow team members to implement optimized solutions
Contribute to internal projects and processes
Collaborate with global team to create deliverables
Lead direct client interactions
Manage (build out and deactivate) pipelines in Data Factory to refresh reports
Investigate and troubleshoot failed pipelines in Data Factory
Run internal trainings
Assist in Snowflake and product based DataBricks data sharing projects
Mentor junior analysts and help drive best practices
Independently scope client requests
Assist and partner with the Commercial Optimization team on the creation of market definitions and other potential projects
Critical Experience:
- 5-8 years of demonstrated experience in technical positions including internships or other professional work.
- Expertise working with SQL or another database tool to develop queries, views, and stored procedures
- Expertise or proven experience working with medical coding terminology and claims data
- Experience working with data visualization or note-booking tools
General Experience:
- High level of organization skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Experience working with clients in a partner capacity
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience with coaching and/or mentoring junior team members
- Ability to work cross functionally
- Ability to manage high volume requests
