- Assign internal credit risk ratings and determine appropriate credit enhancements/mitigants (e.g., reserves, guarantees, covenants, deposits, limits).
- Maintain strong working knowledge of partner credit policies and procedures; ensure decisions and documentation align with established standards.
- Document policy exceptions and route approvals through proper governance channels.
- Review underwriting packages for completeness and accuracy; identify documentation gaps and drive resolution prior to approval/boarding.
- Engage in high-level discussions with internal partners (sales, relationship management, operations) and external clients to clarify financials, risk drivers, and conditions of approval.
- Deliver efficient, timely service while balancing risk discipline, partner needs, and customer experience.

- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related experience
- Strong financial analysis skills (spread analysis, cash flow assessment, ratio and trend analysis).
- Experience assigning risk ratings and documenting credit decisions in a credit memo/underwriting narrative format.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present risk recommendations to senior stakeholders
What would be great to have:
- Experience in payments/merchant acquiring, card acceptance, or related financial services risk.
- Familiarity with credit enhancements and risk mitigation structures used in merchant or commercial underwriting.
- Comfort working with multiple systems and managing competing priorities under tight timelines.
