Overview
Reporting to Director of Business Affairs & Legal Operations, the Senior Contract Administrator plays a critical role in overseeing the K-LOVE’s contract lifecycle management system, from the initial contract development to execution and final repository filing. This position works closely with relevant parties to provide comprehensive contract administration services across the organization. The role requires experience in contract lifecycle management (CLM) and the ability to offer excellent customer service, particularly with respect to contract status reporting and educating business units about the contract review and approval processes.
What will your work involve?
- Ensure all parties involved in contracts fully understand and comply with the terms and conditions, proactively monitoring contract performance and addressing any risks or issues that arise throughout the lifecycle.
- Provide timely updates on contract status and key information to relevant internal parties, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Work closely with legal counsel on complex contract matters, ensuring that all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Create and maintain contract templates in collaboration with legal counsel to ensure consistency and legal compliance across all contracts.
- Offer administrative support to the legal team as needed, including preparing, organizing, and managing contract-related materials.
- Perform various administrative duties to support the overall efficiency of the legal and contracts teams.
- Draft, review, and finalize contracts, briefs, policies, and correspondence, ensuring all documents adhere to legal standards and organizational requirements.
- Monitor staff compliance with established procedures, identifying areas for improvement or additional support where recurrent challenges or pressure points exist.
- Exercise independent judgment and analysis related to contract review and stakeholder engagement.
- Identify and minimize potential contractual risks.
- Provide subject matter expertise on contract management best practices and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure all contract terms and conditions are met, providing timely updates and support to align with project goals and timelines.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant internal and external contractual procedures and practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
You’ll catch our attention if you have these skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or similar combination of education/training with relevant experience.
- Juris Doctorate or similar degree from an accredited school of law preferred
- Two years of experience in contract administration/management, contracts lifecycle management (CLM) systems or similar/relevant experience.
- Possess a communication style that can adjust to people at various levels and functions within the organization as well as externally; the ability to convey complex information in a way that is easily understood by the receiving audience.
- A collaborative and flexible style, capable of responding to urgent requests with strong service mentality.
- Experience reviewing and abstracting agreements/contracts.
- Knowledge of contract management systems and functions.
- Familiarity with legal and contractual terminology.
- Strong computer skills; advance knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
- Proven ability to deal with multiple, simultaneous problems in a systematic, logical manner.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all company matters; communicate with tact and good judgment within scope of position.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/Ministry relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while remaining a team player; establishing and meeting performance/Ministry goals.
