Your mission We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our Tech team at the earliest possible start date. In this key role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and advancing our shipping platforms from a technological perspective. Your mission is to drive the development of a future-proof, highly available cloud architecture, optimize the performance of our core applications, and ensure maximum system reliability through robust CI/CD pipelines and state-of-the-art observability solutions. You'll have the opportunity to actively influence technology decisions, elevate our IT security to the next level, and expand our infrastructure as a key enabler of the company's continued growth. Your Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Networking: You design, build, and scale our cloud infrastructure. This includes managing core networking components such as VPCs, routing, DNS, and load balancing, while ensuring secure, highly available connectivity across our locations. Core Application Infrastructure: You take ownership of the infrastructure behind our business-critical applications, including deployment, hosting optimization, and performance tuning. Your primary focus will be a complex Java application and a large-scale PHP platform. Monitoring & Observability: You ensure end-to-end visibility across our systems by designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing our monitoring and observability stack (e.g., Grafana). You also establish effective alerting to enable proactive issue detection and resolution. Technology Evaluation & Scalability: With a current focus on AWS, you optimize our platforms for high availability—for example, by integrating Redis for session caching and ensuring reliable WebSocket connectivity. At the same time, you keep our long-term goal of maintaining a cloud-agnostic architecture in mind. Security & Best Practices: You evaluate and implement modern cloud-native solutions to enhance our secrets management and establish industry best practices for infrastructure security across our engineering processes. Process Reliability & CI/CD: You design, build, and maintain highly automated CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, efficient deployments.
