Supporting the U.S. Army Futures Command under DEVCOM, we are architecting and designing an innovative, scalable, flexible and secure Enterprise Research Engineering Network to serve as the backbone for the DEVCOM C5ISR Center. We will design a network that will foster varying levels of collaboration, information sharing, and scientific research with mission, industry and academic partners in various states of maturity. This network will be in support of the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center to produce a network that facilitates advanced engineering, prototypes, investigations, experimentation and tests. The new architecture and design will accelerate adoption of zero trust principles, become data centric, apply foundational technology and research area protection, and include dynamic flexibility to rapidly connect isolated users. *This opportunity is contingent upon contract award*
 
What is the position? 
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions that support our clients' mission-critical operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge cloud-based solutions. You will collaborate with senior engineers to deliver cutting-edge cloud-based solutions. This is a hybrid work environment consisting of remote and onsite. Some travel is involved to Maryland, Virginia, and New Jersey. The Contractor will be required to make trips to customer locations as needed within the U.S.
 
What will I get to do?  
You will lead the designing and deploying of cloud-based infrastructure and services, contribute to the development and implementation of cloud security best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based applications. You will lead the monitoring and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure for performance and reliability. You will lead the automation of infrastructure provisioning and management tasks while staying up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.
 
What qualifications do I need? 

• Secret Security Clearance
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years experience in cloud engineering or related roles or 12 years with BS/BA.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Compensation

$110,609.43 - $182,506.63
