About the Role

 

This is an outstanding opportunity to join the Latin America Reinsurance team of the Swiss Re Group!

 

The Senior Client Manager / Client Underwriter will be responsible for maintaining and growing long-term relationships with Swiss Re's most valuable reinsurance clients.  You will introduce and sell reinsurance products and solutions to our clients and will be responsible for P&N regionally.  Finally, you will underwrite and price selected accounts.

 

In addition to the above key responsibilities, you will:

 

• Lead and successfully grow regional business relationship across all P&C lines of businesses.
• Analysis and pricing of traditional P&C business and provide analytic support throughout the deals.
• Deliver profitable growth-oriented business origination and active portfolio management.
• Drive the highest quality execution of client planning, reinsurance renewals, deal opportunities and handle all communication related to origination and negotiation.
• Proactively maintain and understand client motivations, needs, priorities as well as risk & capital drivers to define winning value propositions for key partners involved in the buying decision.

 

The role requires you to:

• Develop and maintain a relevant professional network, both internally and externally.
• Contribute to and support C-suite meetings, driving the agenda and content.
• Engage with senior leaders and clearly share strategic insights on relevant topics.

About You

 

 

Professional Experience

• 10+ years' experience in a sophisticated, global matrix re/insurance business. Underwriting and corporate finance knowledge and leadership is required for this role.
• Outstanding understanding of market dynamics and trends, re/insurance products and evolving client needs.
• Consistent track record of building productive and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders at senior management level.
• Consultative sale skills, negotiation and conflict management and effectively managing the differing priorities of various parties in the reinsurance value chain.
• Proven ability to implement tools and sales methodologies to develop market, competitor, and client insights.
• University degree
• Bilingual English/Spanish
