OnsiteCollins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Buyer who will provide delivery assurance in a fast-paced high-matrixed environment for our Airbus programs. You will ensure that the day-to-day supply chain management activities such as placing purchase orders and managing suppliers while ensuring they execute on quality and on-time delivery at cost to meet our financial goal. You will interact with multiple programs, departments and both domestic and international suppliers.
- The position will be working onsite at our Chula Vista CA facility

What You Will Do
- Analyze contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine need for changes.
- Manages supplier performance to cost, delivery, quality, technical and programmatic/contractual requirements
- Proactively identify, analyze, and communicate program execution risks of supplier deliverables.
- Act any identified changes in price trends and manufacturing processes to ensure successful procurement process.
- Monitor suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
- Create purchase orders, negotiate prices, and approve payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
- Analyze supplier quotes/proposals
- Develop strong relationship with suppliers and internal customers and external stakeholders and participate in supplier readiness reviews.
- Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally when circumstances permit
- Create and provide cadenced Supply Chain health reports to internal customers.
- Perform other duties as required

What You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience in Procurement/Supply Chain or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position Experience with Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and methodologies
- Experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system
- Experience working with MS Office
- Experience with supply chain processes.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with Excel-Pivot Tables, Creating PowerPoint presentations
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, ACE or CORE
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Technical aptitude to understand complex manufacturing processes.
- Project management skills.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
- CI Process Improvement experience.
