The Team:

The Virtual Care Data Team supports the delivery of high-quality virtual care by providing business and technical support, data administration and analysis, and project management for key virtual care systems. Working closely with clinical and administrative teams, the Virtual Care Data Team ensures the effective integration of digital solutions that enhance patient care, streamline workflows, and support data-driven decision-making. Through innovation and collaboration, the team plays a vital role in optimising virtual care services across the Tasmanian health system.

The Role:

The Senior Business and Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Virtual Care Data Team by providing expert advice on data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance the delivery of virtual care services. This role is responsible for developing and implementing business processes, policies, and reporting frameworks to support service planning, operational efficiency, and performance monitoring. The Senior Business and Data Analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders to analyse existing systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement data-driven solutions that enhance patient outcomes. Additionally, the role involves managing business-led projects with ICT components, ensuring data integrity, and facilitating responses to information requests.

You will need:

• Extensive management skills in human and physical resources including the ability to motivate and lead others and be able to monitor the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of service delivery.
• Highly developed business analysis skills, including demonstrated experience in analysing business processes and thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
• Significant expertise in project management together with high level skills and extensive experience in the analysis and implementation of business process improvements and change management

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2025.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
