What you will do

In this vital role you will oversee the efficient operation of network-based Security systems, including Access Control, Visitor Management, Intrusion Alarm, Video Surveillance, Digital Video Recording and other systems supporting the safety and security of ANC employees, contractors and facilities. Additionally, assistance with managing Global Emergency Preparedness and Response Programs, and maintenance of emergency response tools and supplies.

This role will require weekly rotation of being on-call.

FUNCTIONS (Duties/Accountabilities):

  • Security Systems Administration – Video Surveillance, Digital Video Recording, Electronic Keys, Visitor Management and other security related systems.
  • Provide security applications administrative support as appropriate.
  • Ensure systems align with policies, standards, licensing agreements, configuration guidelines, and standard methodologies for maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of asset life cycle and management plans.
  • Compile, prepare and analyze security system statistical reports and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Security systems integrations.
  • Performs system software and firmware upgrades.
  • Establish and implement software and maintenance agreements as appropriate for the maintenance upgrade of security systems.
  • Evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot systems utilizing local and remote tools and technologies, and perform/schedule repairs as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance and equipment inspection program to ensure optimal system operation and performance.
  • Assist with designing, planning and installing new and expanded systems, preparing and updating system configuration documentation as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and oversee vendors and suppliers of parts and services

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Security experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 6 years of Security experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Security experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational background in Business Administration, Science, Engineering and/or Information Systems
  • Regulated industry experience
  • 8+ years of computer administration experience
  • Knowledge of industry standards scripting languages (DOS batch files, Powershell, Vbscript) for software integration/automation
  • Knowledge of Web integration services and technologies (REST/SOAP).
  • Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (SQL) such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL including T-SQL and PL/SQL programming experience
  • Security Systems Integrations and security related applications industry experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Excellent organizational and task management skills
  • Strong aptitude in working with budgets and reconciling of expenses
  • Ability to take lead on security related matters when necessary
  • Proactive in solving problems in a timely manner
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong Knowledge in SharePoint
  • Strong knowledge in database concepts and SQL
  • Strong customer service oriented
