This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Application Developer to join our team in Denver, CO or Buffalo, NY (other WSP office locations within the United States may be considered). In this role, you’ll contribute to multiple consulting projects ranging in complexity and duration while working closely with both colleagues and clients in a fast-paced, flexible environment. Our workflow combines elements of agile (scrum) and traditional (waterfall) development, shaped by client needs and project goals.
As a key team member, you’ll support a range of web development initiatives while growing your technical, collaborative, and professional skills across a variety of science and planning disciplines. You’ll be expected to exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Your Impact
- Architect, develop, launch and maintain scalable .NET web applications.
- Lead front-end development with a focus on accessibility and responsiveness.
- Drive UI/UX design execution.
- Create technical specs and contribute to core code and documentation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, bugs, and optimize performance.
- Support, enhance, and maintain legacy systems.
- Mentor team members and support business development efforts.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- 5–12+ years custom development experience with ASP.NET/C# with a strong focus on UI/UX experience.
- Proficient in front-end frameworks (React preferred, or Vue, Angular, Blazor), HTML5, JavaScript (ES6+), CSS3, and JSON.
- Proficient in front-end architecture, performance optimization, and cross-browser testing.
- Exposure/Proficient in one or more Database technologies (Transact-SQL with SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
- Experience with geospatial tools (Mapbox, Google Maps, or ArcGIS).
- Experience with CMS platforms (Umbraco, Kentico, SiteCore, WordPress, etc.).
- Experience mentoring developers, leading team code reviews, and fostering continuous growth and learning within the team.
- Experience working in DevOps / Git environment for version control with a good discipline in pull requests and merge branch operations.
- Experience/working knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud Environments.
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG 2.0), front-end build tools (Webpack, Tailwind, Vite), and SEO best practices.
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft platforms, frameworks, and tools.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consulting or fast-paced, multi-project environments.
- Familiarity with the engineering and professional services industry.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $90,000 - $150,000
