Senior Application Developer – Austin, TX

In this critical role, you will develop and support projects through the entire software development cycle, from interpreting requirements to supporting production deployments.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and support restful APIs that will be used by various channels.
- Participate in peer review process to ensure code quality by providing constructive feedback for other developers’ pull requests and being receptive to receiving the same.
- Provide sizing and estimation of effort required to develop new features and troubleshoot and resolve bug fixes.
- Be able to work proficiently in an Agile environment using industry standards tools like JIRA and Bitbucket.
- Work with other WD teams to refine and clarify requirements that we need to support.
- Provide timely updates on the status of your work and clearly communicate with other team members about dependencies on each other’s work.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar area; or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years in application development.
- Experience working with and developing REST-based APIs or integrate various system functionalities using existing APIs.
- Proficiency with one or more Java libraries: Spring, Spring boot.
- Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D.
- Hands-on experience in building microservices based architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale.
- Knowledgeable in file I/O handling and text parsing methods in Json, XML.
- Knowledge of cloud computing and deployment in AWS or similar cloud.
- Database knowledge for relational and non-relational databases.
- Practiced in test-driven development (you’ve written unit, e2e tests).
- Proficiency with source control systems, i.e. Git.
- Commitment to writing quality code and delivering excellent user experience.
- Experience in developing test automations and automation tools is a plus.

Salary
Annual base salary range $100,000 – 120,000 and short-term incentives (10% of base) that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
