Job Description

The Sr. Solutions Consultant (Sales Engineering) at DataDirect Networks (DDN) is a hyperscaler-focused technical expert responsible for driving AI, ML, and HPC adoption within large-scale cloud environments. This role is crucial in aligning DDN’s cutting-edge AI solutions with hyperscaler architectures, optimizing storage, compute, and networking to accelerate AI workloads at massive scale. The ideal candidate will bring deep pre-sales engineering experience, expertise in hyperscaler AI/Cloud infrastructure, and a passion for delivering solutions that drive efficiency, performance, and cost optimization for Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), hyperscalers, and enterprise AI deployments.

 

Core Responsibilities:

• Hyperscaler AI Expertise: Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of AI and ML workflows within hyperscaler environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud, etc.), including architecture, deployment models, and optimization strategies for large-scale AI/ML operations.
• *Cloud & Edge AI Solutions: Design and implement AI-driven storage and compute solutions that support hyperscaler AI/ML training, inference, and data analytics pipelines.
• *Optimization & Performance: Drive discussions on GPU utilization, cloud storage performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and AI workload acceleration across hyperscaler platforms.
• *Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with hyperscaler ecosystem partners, OEMs, ISVs, and cloud-native AI frameworks to develop joint GTM strategies and solution offerings.
• *Technical Pre-Sales & Evangelism: Act as a trusted advisor for AI teams, demonstrating how DDN solutions integrate with hyperscaler-native AI tools like SageMaker, Vertex AI, Azure ML, and other cloud AI platforms.
• *AI Storage & Data Management: Guide customers in selecting optimal storage architectures, including parallel file systems, object storage, and tiered AI data strategies for hyperscaler-hosted AI models.
• *Enterprise AI & Cloud GTM: Drive AI adoption across large enterprises leveraging hyperscaler AI services, including co-sell and marketplace engagements.
• *Outcome-Driven Consulting: Partner with customers to align DDN solutions with their business outcomes, focusing on latency reduction, GPU acceleration, energy efficiency, and cost optimization in AI workflows.
