The Opportunity

The purpose of the position is to support the Finance function by ensuring accurate execution, validation, and optimization of financial and operational processes across trading, logistics, and invoicing systems, while enhancing data integrity and reporting capabilities. The role also drives process improvements, automation, and financial oversight to support business growth, particularly within domestic trading and complex rate structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Become proficient in all VCE/legacy processes in GrainTrac (Ceres), MyFrey, Business Central (BC)
  • Serve as operational backup during peak periods and ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and controls.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the rate database for transload locations, ocean freight, and related logistics costs, including management of complex, negotiated rate structures.
  • Ensure rate accuracy by integrating data with MRS and ShipAngel systems and collaborate with the data team to implement automated solutions, including an AI-based invoice validation tool.
  • Provide financial and operational support to the domestic trading business, including ticket entry, evaluation of automation tools (e.g., truck/ticket import applications), and monitoring of the cash conversion cycle.
  • Oversee purchase and sales settlements, accounts receivable, and cash utilization.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of futures allocation strategies outside of MyFrey.
  • Design and support BI reporting tools to track domestic trading profitability, with integration into GrainTrac (Ceres).
  • Execute the intercompany invoicing process by compiling, validating, and reconciling transactional and financial data across systems.
  • Validate loaded container, contract, and expense data across GrainTrac, MyFrey, and BC; ensure completeness and accuracy prior to invoicing.
  • Prepare and post intercompany invoices on an “all-in per unit” basis, reconciling inventory and sales data within BC.
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies or missing information to trading and logistics teams.
  • Drive process improvements through automation and collaboration with the data team to streamline workflows.
     

Pay Range: 60,000-90,000 USD
