Position Summary:
This position is responsible for delivering high quality accounting documentation and analytical support. Through proper application of accounting principles, the ideal candidate will prepare journal entries, reconcile account balances, maintain internal controls, ensure accuracy of the Company’s consolidated financial records, assist with internal/external audits and will also be involved with special projects.
This position will work closely with the General Ledger Accounting team, along with interaction with management as well as other members of the Finance organization and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting
Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform related journal entries monthly with a focus on, but not limited to, prepaids, general & legal accruals, debt, payroll accounting and intercompany activities
Oversee the Company’s cash accounting process
Develop collaborative relationships with the relevant contacts in the business as well as FP&A
Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting requests and analytical reviews
Auditing
Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting requests and analytical reviews
Cross Functional Department Activities
Perform other accounting duties, including assisting with special projects as they arise and responding to accounting/finance related requests from other departments
Coordinate accounting matters with other departments and locations
Reporting
Actively participate in the implementation of system improvements that will generate more timely, accurate and efficient financial reporting
Prepare and file US Census Bureau reporting requests
Compliance
Assist with SOX compliance efforts in the finance area by performing established control procedures, documenting related internal control processes, and testing to ensure these controls are adhered to
Evaluate internal controls and make recommendations for improvement in efficiency
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA preferred
3+ years accounting experience; 2 years of public accounting experience desirable
Pharmaceutical industry experience a plus
Knowledge of SAP, Blackline and HFM is preferred but not required
Excellent computer skills. Strong knowledge of Excel and MS Office Suite
Knowledge of Accounting and US GAAP
Preferred Skills
Strong communication, analytical, organizational and planning skills
Desire to learn new topics
Ability to take initiative/ownership and work issues through to completion
Willingness to work outside defined functions of position when necessary
Must be able to work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment

The expected base pay range for this position is $89K - $131K. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
This position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable program. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion.
