Security Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Access Control System Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining access control systems, cameras, and networking infrastructure for our clients. Your primary objective will be to ensure that our clients' premises are equipped with reliable and efficient security solutions.

• Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and test access control systems, cameras, and networking infrastructure at clients' premises.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security requirements and provide suitable recommendations.
• Conduct site surveys to determine the most effective locations for access control systems, cameras equipment.
• Mount and secure access control panels, cameras, switches, and related hardware according to industry standards.
• Install and configure software applications for access control systems and cameras.
• Set up and configure networking equipment, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or malfunctions in access control systems, cameras, and networking infrastructure.
• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance of installed systems.
• Provide training and guidance to clients on the proper use and maintenance of access control systems, cameras, and networking equipment.
• Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to access control systems, cameras, and networking.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Access Control System, Camera, and Networking Installer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of access control systems, cameras, networking equipment, and related software.
• Proficiency in installing and configuring access control and video management software applications.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for security systems installation.
• Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as required.
• Note: Additional certifications or licenses in security systems installation, networking, or related fields are highly desirable.
• This position will be based in Montgomery preferably but could possibly be Hoover with requirements to travel to Montgomery area as needed.
