Travel: Required for Initial Training (6-12 Weeks) | All Travel Expenses Covered + $50 Daily Per Diem
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Security Project Lead to oversee field installation teams on commercial security projects. This role is responsible for leading technicians through the installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover of access control, video surveillance, and integrated security systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate field installation teams on commercial security projects.
- Install, troubleshoot, and support access control, CCTV, and integrated security systems.
- Assign daily tasks and manage project priorities to ensure timely completion of work.
- Review project drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide installation activities.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior technicians.
- Oversee low-voltage cabling installation, termination, labeling, and testing.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain project documentation, progress reports, and installation records.
- Support system programming, startup, testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance activities.
- Communicate project updates with management, customers, and field personnel.
- Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in commercial security system installation.
- Proven experience leading field technicians and managing installation crews.
- Strong background in access control systems and commercial security technologies.
- Experience with CCTV/video surveillance systems.
- Knowledge of low-voltage cabling installation and infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project reporting and documentation.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with system programming and advanced troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of integrated security and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Security industry certifications preferred.
- Experience working in commercial construction and retrofit environments.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior technicians.
Work Environment
- Commercial construction, industrial, and retrofit project environments.
- Hands-on field leadership role with daily interaction with installation teams.
- Guaranteed 40-hour workweek with frequent overtime opportunities.
- Occasional Saturday work based on project demands.
- Travel required for company-sponsored training programs (6-12 weeks).
- Company-paid airfare, mileage, hotel accommodations, and travel expenses.
- $50 daily per diem provided during travel assignments.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
