Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol Manufacturing in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout your shift. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a secure environment. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and visitors as required by site policies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while representing Allied Universal on site.
• Assist with emergency response procedures as directed, including evacuation and/or lockdown protocols specific to the manufacturing and industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by TSA is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
