Job Description

As a Security Professional Logistics Patrol in Hilo, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. Your presence will help to deter potential security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors. You will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of professionalism and communication, serving as a key point of contact for access-related inquiries. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to support site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel with access procedures and general inquiries.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and any irregularities encountered during shifts.
• Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to address access control and security-related needs specific to the logistics and distribution environment.
• Participate in emergency response activities as directed by site-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
