Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Financial Desk in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring access, greeting visitors, and providing exceptional customer service. This is an armed post, requiring you to help to deter security-related incidents while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first. Your presence at the front desk will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, while supporting the security-related needs of the location and fostering a culture of reliability and innovation.

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences at the front desk.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including communicating with appropriate personnel and/or first responders.
• Support the overall security-related operations of the location by observing and reporting any suspicious activity or potential concerns.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing information and assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or possess an Associate’s Degree or at least 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
